Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Information about the position

Your responsibilities:

  • Administration of existing applications and AWS infrastructure.
  • Being a technical advisor to junior colleagues.
  • Troubleshoot production systems and self-learn new tools and technologies as per project requirements.
  • Solving issues raised from an automated monitoring system.
  • Understand and maintain production code, maintain, and support an infrastructure.
  • Document and share knowledge of developed or maintained solutions.
  • Participating on regular activities and reporting, based on standardized checklists.
  • Work with a sister team during an incident/problem investigation and resolution.
  • Participate on a change process, problem management process and release process.
  • Provide a work considering, SLA parameters.
  • Ensure timely reporting of services outages or degradation and/ or batch failures.
  • Contribute and Submit knowledge request if found lacking in the knowledgebase.
  • Proactively assist customers to avoid or reduce problem occurrence.

Requirements for the employee

  • Managed Services, Troubleshooting, Data Analysis, Laptops, Investigation, Unix, Linux, EKS, Oracle, LAN/WAN Administration, Logging, JIRA, Good Communication Skills, Service Desk, Time Management, Statistics, Window, Power BI, Able to Work Independently.
  • Diploma or Certification in Information Technologies related fields.
  • Good communication skills in English language, German language will be a plus.

Personality requirements and skills:

  • Knowledge on Windows, Unix, Linux, LAN/Wan in AWS environment, EKS.
  • Experience with public cloud services AWS, including security features, like a secret manager.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or in a team environment, respecting a cultural diversity.
  • Able to work with junior colleagues.
  • Able to address issues clearly to senior colleagues.
  • Good communication skills in English language.
  • Good communication skills in English language, German language will be a plus.

Would be a plus:

  • Avaloq, Airlock knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Static Code Analysis tool (like SonarQube).
  • ITIL framework.
  • Experience in a multilevel support team providing services based on a SLA.
