Senior Functional Analyst/Senior Architect – Cards & Lending

Information about the position

VÚB is looking for a new reinforcement for the position of Functional Analyst/Senior Architect – Cards & Lending.

This analytical-functional position would oversee the area of ​​Cards and Credits. It prepares the analytical outputs necessary for understanding the specified change request with the ability to design the IT architecture of the solution, which are the input for the detailed design of the implementation of the solution in the field of cards and loans resulting from complex business requirements. It verifies the feasibility of the proposed solutions with a complete (End2End) understanding of the business context and identifies the impacts on the functional environment. It ensures the quality of deliveries in order to ensure the required business functionality of cards and loans for the VÚB group environment.

Your role in the team:

  • You are responsible for specifying solutions to functional/architectural requirements in ​​cards and loans.
  • You analyze proposals for changes in detail and your outputs are input for detailed design, you specify functional properties, prepare user scenarios, test deliveries, analyze incidents, defects or problems and propose ways to correct functional errors of the solution.
  • You provide expert knowledge about cards and loans for projects and other forms of initiatives, monitor, identify and evaluate legislative requirements, technological trends, anticipate new possibilities and support their introduction.
  • You deliver your outputs preferably using EA Sparx or similar modeling tools.
  • You prepare information and relevant inputs for the bank’s management to support decision-making.
  • Independently and/or as a leader, you manage the analytical activity with the aim of achieving the required outputs that meet the usability criteria for detailed design.

Requirements for the employee

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Experience in the design of solutions and their implementation for cards and loans in Slovakia and according to European standards.
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in the field of IT analysis, architecture creation and integration of card and credit solutions.
  • Strong analytical thinking, pro-client orientation, leadership of change, effort to find solutions.
  • The ability to communicate with people from business but also with colleagues in IT and/or external suppliers to find solutions.
  • B2 English level.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Practical experience using some of the RESTful API, SOAP API, JMS, JDBC, PL/SQL, SQL, Micro-services, Canonical Data Model, identity management techniques, Kubernetes and/or similar.
  • Practical experience with Oracle DB 11+ databases, MS SQL server.
  • Practical experience with various data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, experience with creating XSD schemas, WSDL, WADL or swagger-OpenAPI specifications.
  • Demonstrable experience with agile culture, with coordination and fulfillment of tasks through cooperation with internal and external teams.
  • Practical experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect (designs in UML, BPMN, Archimate notations).
  • Multi-tasking, prioritization and time management skills, high commitment and exemplary productivity.
  • Able to accept goals outside his/her comfort zone, ready to study new topics, provide convincing presentations of his/her findings and syntheses of acquired knowledge.
  • The desire to learn new things with the ability to use/pass on the acquired knowledge to colleagues.
  • To work successfully and motivatingly in an individual and team environment.
